Northern Ireland assistant manager Stephen Robinson is set to be named as the new manager of English League One side Oldham Athletic.

The 41-year-old, who is also assistant at Motherwell, is expected to quit all other coaching roles when he takes over.

Robinson's work within the Northern Ireland international youth structure has included a stint as Under-21 manager.

It is rumoured that former Northern Ireland international defender Colin Murdock was key in ensuring Robinson lands the vacant job at the Latics.
