Basement club Warrenpoint Town's sensational January has been rewarded by the club landing both Manager and Player of the Month awards, with striker Martin Murray following up Barry Gray's triumph.

Murray - who joined the club on loan from Cliftonville at the start of the month -
netted five goals in four games during the month including a double at the Oval in their convincing 4-0 away triumph over Glentoran.

The 22-year-old has had an instant impact at Milltown since both him and Johnny McMurray joined the club on loan until the end of the season from Cliftonville, as part of the deal which saw Daniel Hughes move to Solitude.

The former Glentoran attacker's form saw Warrenpoint win three successive league fixtures - against Coleraine, Portadown and Glentoran - after only one victory in their opening 21 games. They are now only three points off Dungannon Swifts and Carrick Rangers at the foot of the table.
